FedExForum Seating Chart
The FedExForum is a multi-purpose sporting arena in Memphis, Tennessee and is the home of the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA and the Memphis Tigers of the NCAA. The arena is owned by the City of Memphis which built the arena for $250 million. FedExForum seats roughly 18,119 for basketball events and took over 2 years to build. The interior was designed to pay tribute to Memphis’ musical heritage, with paintings and murals showing some of the city’s most famous works of art.
FedExForum was the first arena to utilize “see-through” shot clock units, which allows spectators sitting behind to not have an obstructive view.

History of FedExForum
FedExForum originally broke ground on June 20, 2002. Construction was completed and the arena was ready for spectators on September 6, 2004. The construction costs associated with the arena estimated $250 million. The arena has not only held a lot of NBA games, but NCAA Men’s games as well. The Conference USA Men’s basketball tournament has played their a lot in the past.
Naming rights for the arena were purchased by one of Memphis’ most well known businesses, FedEx, for $92 million. FedExForum was financed using $250 million of public bonds, which were issued by the Memphis Public Building Authority . The venue also has the capability of hosting ice hockey games and concerts. In 2011 the arena was coined the nick “The Grindhouse” by Tony Allen.
