M&T Bank Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Baltimore, Maryland and is the home of the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. A detailed M&T Bank Stadium seating chart is located to the left. History of M&T Bank Stadium
Ground was broken for the stadium on July 23, 1996. Before the stadium was built Wm. Knabe & Co. piano factory sat on the property. It closed during the Great Depression. There’s a mosaic on the southwest corner in memory of the piano factory.
In 2003 there were three companies in the running for acquiring naming rights for the stadium. Following the death of Johnny Unitas, they considered naming the stadium after him. In the end they went with M&T Bank and named the plaza in front of the main entrance after Unitas, which includes a bronze statue of him.
M&T Bank stadium hosts many other sporting events and other miscellaneous events. These include: College football games, High school football games, Soccer, Lacrosse, and Concerts.
