History of Oracle Arena
Oracle Arena has been home to the Golden State Warriors since 1971. The arena’s first tenants were the California Seals of the Western Hockey League. It also hosted the ABL’s Oakland Oaks in 1967.
On October 20, 2006 the Oracle Corporation and the Golden State Warriors announced a 10-year agreement in which the then called Oakland Arena would be known as The Oracle, and then on October 30th altered to Oracle Arena.
The record for most fans in attendance in the state of California was set here at the Oracle Center on April 10, 2008 when the Warriors played the Denver Nuggets(and lossed).
