2007/2008

Russell Wilson red shirted the 2007 year at North Carolina State. In 2008 Russell had to split time with two other quarterbacks and it wasn’t until after week 5 of the regular season of that year that Russell finally took over for good. He ended up going 4 – 3 on the year and finished out on a four-game winning streak. He also through two touchdowns in each of his last 6 games that year. The ACC named him to the first-team All-ACC quarterback. It was the first time in the conference’s history that a freshman quarterback was named to the 1st team.

2009

The big highlight for Russell Wilson during his Sophomore season was that he broke Andre Woodson’s all-time NCAA record of 325 consecutive pass attempts without an interception!

2010

Russell led the NC State Wolfpack to a 9-4 season that included a win over West Virginia in the 2010 Champs Sports Bowl. He led the ACC in passing yards per game at 274.1, and total offensive yards per game at 307.5.

2011 – Transfer Year

Russell Wilson graduated from NC State in three years with a B.A. in communication. He then decided to play professional baseball but ended up committing to Wisconsin for the 2011 season. He had an amazing year and was named first team All-Big Ten, and also won the Griese-Brees Big Ten Quarterback of the Year award. Wilson lead his team to victory in the Big Ten Championship game against the Michigan State Spartans where he was named the game’s MVP. By the time the season was over, Russell has set the single season FBS record for passing efficiency.
