History of Scottrade Center
Ground was broken on the stadium on December 14, 1992. Scottrade Center was completed almost two years later on October 8, 1994. The Blues played in the St. Louis Arena until their new stadium was completed. Even though the stadium was completed before the end of 1994 the Blues wouldn’t play in the stadium until 1995 due to the NHL lockout.
Naming rights were sold to Scottrade in September of 2006, before that the stadium was known as Kiel Center.
